Some of the people living in Versailles, NY in the 1800s, particularly the Hills family, had roots in Chautauqua County.  Norman B. Hills who is buried in the Versailles Cemetery in Cattaraugus County, was the father of Marion Eliza Hills, b. 02-Nov-1832, d. Nov-1916. Marion Eliza married Elisha Brown, of Versailles.  Lewis Hills is the father of Norman B. Hills, b. 02-Apr-1805, d. 21-July-1865, at Versailles, NY.
